Linda R. (Russell) Price

Linda Russell Price, 62, loving wife, caring mother and friend passed away peacefully and with family on Thursday, July 4th, 2019 at St. Vincents Medical Center Southside after a long difficult battle with liver disease. She was born on August 14, 1956 in Portage Wisconsin to Charles and Hazel Russell.

Linda graduated from Edward H. White high school in 1974. She then dedicated her studies at FJC (Florida State College at Jacksonville), and the University of Florida for Elementary Education and Teaching. Linda wore many hats throughout her professional career. From working at Southeast Bank as a Corporate Lending Service Rep, to working as a school photographer at Leonard’s Studio in St. Augustine, to working in the mortgage industry for 15 years with BBVA Compass and then JP Morgan Chase. Even though Linda fervently worked a long professional career, she also spent almost a decade of that time being wonderful homemaker and mother. Throughout her life Linda unselfishly served and cared for her family, friends, and neighbors; always willing to offer a helping hand. A compassionate, artistic, genuine and witty woman, Linda loved to laugh, have fun, entertain and most of all, spend time with friends and family.

Linda is survived by her two children Caroline Price, and Kevin Bennett (Leanne), her Grandchildren Jackson, Harper, and Abigail Bennett, many aunts, cousins, loving friends, and her dog Dixie who stayed by her side through the last years. Linda will be greeted in heaven by her parents Charles and Hazel Russell, many loving family members, many adored classmates, and her many fur babies Chica, Boots, Molly, Lily, and Toby. A memorial service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 at 3:00 PM on San Jose Blvd with Tim Martin officiating.
