Fred L. Grass, Jr. , 79, of Old Town, FL, passed away February 25, 2020. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, but lived in North Florida most of his life. He owned and operated a truck for many years, was a Navy veteran, was a Mason and was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Jacksonville. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Joy Grass; 2 sons, Freddie Grass & Robert “Bobby” Grass (Kim); 2 daughters, Tonya Alford (Richard) & Stacy Peavy (Jimmy); 2 step-sons, Jason Triplett & Michael Triplett (Emily); step-daughter, Sherry Farver (Chris); 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; cousin, Elizabeth Justice; nephew, Norman “Skipper” LaFleur; sister-in-law, Carolyn Babbitt and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville with interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. For those who prefer, donations may be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida.
