Francis Hobbs Obituary

Francis Marvin Hobbs, 75 of Jacksonville passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born September 11, 1944 to the late Mr. Walter E. and Mary (Skinner) Hobbs in Suffolk, Virginia. Francis was a proud veteran of the United States Army and had spent 36 years with J.E. Abercrombie Inc. in Jacksonville in the construction industry. In his free time, he loved to sit on the front porch with his beloved wife, Judy, and watch the birds.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Hobbs of Jacksonville; daughter: Laura (Doug) Gale of Idaho; step-children: Lyrecia Ann Pinholster and Mark King both of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; two sisters; and a host of other family members and friends.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
