Melba M. Howell

Melba M. Howell, 82, of Baldwin, passed away on November 29, 2019.  She was born in Tampa, FL and moved her family to Baldwin in 1972.  Mrs. Howell managed retail for many years before retiring.  Mrs. Howell was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hancock; a sister, Doris Polk and a grandson, George "Eddie" Crawford, Jr.  Survivors include her son, Larry Howell and his wife, Tammy; son, Richard Howell; daughter, Peggy Deese and her husband, Clarence; her brother, Melvin Hancock; 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and numerous great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening, December 3, 2019 in the chapel of Giddens-Reed Funeral Home, 270 US Highway 301, North, Baldwin, FL, 904-266-2337 (www.giddensreedfh.com).  She will be cremated afterwards according to her wishes.
