Margaret W. Matthews

Margaret Matthews, 84, of Baldwin, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in South Carolina and resided in Baldwin, FL most of her life. Mrs. Matthews was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Matthews, Sr. and a son, Marty Matthews. Survivors include her son, Charles R. Matthews, Jr. (Tammy); 3 daughters, Betty Byrd (Johnny), Joyce Pringle (Everett) & Donna Diedolf (Robert); 2 brothers, Julian Woodle & Ronald Woodle; 3 sisters, Nobie McElveen, Helen Warr & Thelma Williams; 8 grandchildren, Christie Knowles (Tim), John Byrd (Ashley), Brad Pringle (Madison), Charles R. Matthews III (Jeanean), Mandy Strayer (Jason), Bobby Diedolf (Emily), Ian Schneider & Cara Matthews; 11 great-grandchildren, Kayla Knowles, Ashley Matthews, Taylor Strayer, Leyton Byrd, Haley Pringle, Dalton Diedolf, Chase Pringle, Grace Strayer, Kelson Byrd, Kaitley Diedolf & Gracie Milton and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Brandy Branch Baptist Church, 1906 Brandy Branch Church Place, Bryceville, FL with Pastor Chris Drum officiating. Interment will follow at Brandy Branch Cemetery.
