JULIA ANN GLEATON

Julia ‘Julie’ Ann Gleaton, was born on February 25, 1954, and passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019.

A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Fl, she was most happy spending time at the beach with her friends, looking for sharks teeth. She loved God, her family, her dog (Girlie Girl), and most of all her friends. Her home was affectionately known as ‘Julie’s Hotel’, because if anyone needed a place to stay, for any length of time, she had an open door policy. She will be missed by all that knew her, but we all take comfort in knowing she is with so many loved ones that have passed on before her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Byrd, and her father, Dean Gleaton.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Chapman, gran-dog- Sparklez, mother- Blanche Gleaton, brother and sister in law- Ronnie and Belinda Gleaton, sister-Donna Jean Dudte, brother and sister in law- Eric and Donna Gleaton, nieces Lisa (Anthony) Adkins and Shelly (Mike) Steed, nephews-Wayne Gleaton, Paul (Kelly) Vaughan, Travis Vaughan, and Bobby Gleaton. There are many other family members-aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, as well as an abundance of friends.

We will celebrate her life at 11 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Dunns Creek Baptist Church, 1425 Starratt Road, Jacksonville with Pastor Lyle Shiferdek, Jr. officiating. Lunch will be provided immediately following the service.
