Carroll Dyal

Carroll Dyal, 69, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 29, 2017.  Born in Alma, Georgia to Jay and Ruthell Dyal. Carroll’s parents passed away when he was only seven years old.  He was raised from the time he was seven by his paternal Uncle Jonah and Aunt Rosie Dyal.  Although Carroll was an only child to his parents, he gained three cousins who became his sisters, Reba, Naomi and Faye Dyal.  His extended maternal and paternal Aunts and Uncles would continue to shower love and affection on him throughout his life.  
 
Carroll was a man of faith who gave his life to the Lord at a young age.  Carroll was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was an honorable man who lived his life according to his faith in Jesus Christ.  He worked as a police officer at Jacksonville Sherrifs Office for 34 years.  He enjoyed being retired for only 8 months, when he was asked to work for Giddens Security Company as a State of Florida Security Officer Instructor.  He worked at Giddens Security for ten years.  He loved woodworking, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. Carroll was known for being a very friendly man who never met a stranger.
Carroll is survived by his wife, Patricia Overstreet Dyal of 48 years, his daughter Melanie (Derek) Watson, his son Jay (Kristen) Dyal, grandchildren, Bryce Watson, Colby Watson, Hannah Dyal and Hank Dyal.  
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Evangel Temple Assembly of God on Monday, May 1, 2017.  Funeral services for Carroll will be at Evangel Temple Assembly of God on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:00 am.  Carroll will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery in Alma, Georgia at 4:00 pm.
