Kellene Simmons Obituary

Kellene A. Simmons, 85, lifelong resident of Jacksonville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 11, 2018. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Jacksonville for many years. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, William Neal Simmons in 1989. Survivors include her 2 sons, David Smith (Lisa) & Gary Smith (Sherry); daughter, Denise Blong (Charles); 4 grandchildren, Meghan & Adam Smith, Rachel Burnsed (Aaron), Trenton Mobley & Ellianna Smith; 5 great-grandchildren, Lacie, Kylee, Aden, Victoria & Veronica; sister, Mary Kelley Barnes; 2 nieces, Donna Kelley Gysin, Karolee Washburn and nephew, Charlie Kelley. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5755 Ramona Blvd. With Pastor Garry Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the church.
