Esther Ojeda

Esther Ojeda, 82, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 with her family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, longtime employee with Waffle House, Woolworth's and Moosehaven, but in her own words “received joy by helping others”. Ms. Ojeda grew up in Otis Road Church of God and later became a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, David Yarbrough & Richard Yarbrough. Survivors include 3 children: Janet Stumbo, Mike Yarbrough and Kim Kahre (Eddie); 8 grandchildren: Tim Metcalfe (Stacy), Chandra Metcalfe (Ron), Janelle Stumbo, Brandon Stumbo (Deana), Michael Yarbrough (Tracy), Paul Kahre, Emily Kahre & Lillian Kahre; 7 great-grandchildren: Kevin, Grant, Christiana, Elijah, Brayden, Greyson & Charlie; 3 brothers & 2 sisters. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening (TONIGHT) at Giddens-Reed Funeral Home, 270 U.S. Highway 301, N., Baldwin, 904-266-2337 (www.giddensreedfh.com). Graveside services will be held at 10 am at Pinkston Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 4275 Herschel Street, Jacksonville with Adam Peterson officiating.
