Ernest Wayne Henderson

Ernest Wayne Henderson, 74, passed away July 11th, 2017.  He was born September 17,1942 in Thomasville,  GA.  Wayne attended True & Living God Worship Center.  He proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force.  He had a long career working for the Florida Department Of Transportation as an Engineer.  Mr. Henderson is survived by his daughter, Jolene Alexis (Rich); his sons, Jeff Henderson (Tracie), Robert Conner (Karen) and Randy Conner; sister, Sandra O'Neal; brothers, Tony O'Neal (Barbara), Danny O'Neal (Betty), Eddie O'Neal (Genia) and Charles O'Neal (Lisa); several grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.  Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his mother, Marie O'Neal; father, Ernest Henderson; step-father, Lawrence O'Neal Sr. and brothers, Delain Henderson and Lawrence O'Neal Jr.  Graveside services will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with Pastor Joshie George officiating.  Please arrive at the cemetery by 9:15 AM.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the purpleheartfoundation.org in memory of Wayne.  Arrangements by Giddens-Reed Funeral Home, Baldwin, 904-266-2337 (www.giddensreedfh.com).
