Charles Raymond McCarty

Charles R. McCarty, 78, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, March 10, 2017 after a five year battle with cancer. He was born September 22, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio and has lived in Jacksonville, FL for the last 27 years. Mr. McCarty was preceded in death in 1975 by his first wife, Mary Jane Korecki, age 35, of Ohio, after fifteen wonderful years of marriage. His life partner of 40 years, Erin D. Morrison, passed away in January 2017 in Jacksonville at the age of 57. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, James McCarty of California and Robert McCarty of Ohio. Survivors include his children, Sharon Haynie, Kathy McCarty-Bryant, Charles R. McCarty, Jr., Melissa McCarty and Danielle Thompson; sisters-in-law, Mary McCarty and Maryanne McCarty; sister, Mary Katherine Weese (husband, Terry); brother, Thomas McCarty (wife, Ginny); 11 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
